Leadership

Jeff Sauntry – Founder & CEO

Jeff Sauntry is a senior risk executive who has built his career stepping up to digital transformation challenges. He is the CEO and Founder of Risk Neutral, a leading provider of integrated risk management (IRM) services. Jeff has extensive experience in professional services, technology, risk, and cybersecurity. He has achieved impressive results-driving revenue growth and expanding his organization’s reach around the globe. His entrepreneurial background and ability to leverage personal experience with Fortune 500, Global 2000, and Government Agencies allow him to deliver innovative risk management strategies for Risk Neutral clients.

Jeff recognized a need in the market for a highly focused consulting practice targeting solutions for risk management and potentially disruptive events. If ‘data is truly the new oil,’ it is now a strategic resource that must be protected and managed to support national, economic, and social interests. Jeff knew that integrated risk management (IRM) must evolve beyond being strictly defensive in nature. He altered the modern risk paradigms to focus on identifying future trends that create value by unlocking the potential of emerging opportunities.

Jeff applies decades of operational experience across risk domains to provide Boards of Directors and the C-suite with independent, risk-informed decision support. The cornerstone of Jeff’s career has been guiding organizational transformations and addressing complex business problems. The unique approach that he has developed ensures each Risk Neutral engagement: improves clients’ risk IQ, preserves brand equity, minimizes deviation from expected outcomes, and increases operational resiliency.

Before forming Risk Neutral, Jeff founded Invision Communications, a physical security company specializing in access control, video surveillance, industrial control systems, IoT, network connectivity, and cybersecurity. There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction.

John F. Kennedy

We cannot change what we are not aware of, and once we are aware, we cannot help but change.

Sheryl Sandberg

Over time, there is only one alternative to risk management, and that is crisis management, and crisis management is much more costly, time consuming and embarrassing.

James Lam

The pace of change is so great; there is always something else going on. What that says to me is that you have to have strategic vision and peripheral vision. Strategic vision is the ability to look ahead and peripheral vision is the ability to look around, and both are important.

Carly Fiorina

You can never protect yourself 100%. What you do is protect yourself as much as possible and mitigate risk to an acceptable degree. You can never remove all risk.

Kevin Mitnick

Prepare for the unknown by studying how others in the past have coped with the unforeseeable and the unpredictable.

George S. Patton

All events in your life are neutral until you label them. Nothing has meaning until you give it meaning.
